Liverpool striker Luis Suazez was found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra. Suarez was banned for eight games and fined £40,000.
Chelsea and England captain John Terry was banned for four matches by the FA and fined £220,000 for using the words “f ***** g black ***” at Anton Ferdinand during a game between Chelsea and QPR.
Jonjo Shelvey of Newcastle was fined £100,000 and suspended for five matches after using racist language towards Romain Saiss at Wolves.
An independent investigation ruled Mark Sampson, the sacked former manager of the England women’s team, used racially discriminatory language towards players Eni Aluko and Drew Spence.
