MY PERFECT SUNDAY

- By Nina Nesbitt Singer-songwriter

I’d wake up at home in west London around 11am with my dog. He’s a Pomeranian pup called Timmy and he’s very small and very sweet.

We would have breakfast together and then I’d go into my home studio to write songs.

I write most weeks – I spend half the time writing for other people and half for me. When I write for other artists, it feels like a job, although not an unenjoyable one. But at home it’s just for me and it’s relaxing.

For lunch, I’d have sushi delivered from my favourite local restaurant. That or a homemade soup, like carrot or potato and leek. I’m such an old woman!

Then I’d undo that good work by overeating crisps, chocolate and waffles.

I’d take Timmy for a walk in a nice park, like Chiswick House Gardens or Kensington Park.

I’d spend the evening playing Crash Bandicoot on the Playstation or watching a film with my boyfriend and a gin and tonic. My friend works for Sipsmith and we got a bottle of their sloe gin. It’s so good!

Nina’s new single The Best You Had is out now on Cooking Vinyl
