AN elderly farmer driving a tractor he had bought to raise money for charity has died in a crash.

Tragic Willie Wilson purchased and refurbished the Massey Ferguson 135 to go on tractor runs.

The 68-year-old was killed in a collision with a car early on Friday on the main Letterkenny to Lifford Road near Drumoghill, Co Donegal.

Tributes poured in to the victim, a single man from Fr Arnold Terrace in Manorcunningham.

One friend said: “He enjoyed nothing more than helping raise monies for worthy causes by taking part in tractor runs.”
