Joint Korean hockey team a possibility
Kim Jong-un NORTH Korea says it is considering the South’s proposal for a joint women’s hockey team for the Winter Olympics.
South Korea’s unification ministry and sports and tourism ministry both said they have no knowledge of the matter.
It comes after the historic moment officials from the two countries shook hands in a meeting in the truce village of the Demilitarised Zone.
South Korea’s ambassador to the UK Joomkook Hwang said: “I believe we can make the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics the turning point in de-escalating tension in the Korean peninsula.”
The Olympics are due to be held from February 9-25 in South Korea.
