Kem: Liam helped me get over love split
..just don’t tell him I fancy Cheryl
DANCING on Ice contender Kem Cetinay has told how singer Liam Payne helped him get over love split heartbreak.
But he fears their bromance is doomed – because he has the hots for Liam’s partner Cheryl Tweedy.
The ex-one Direction star reached out when hairdresser Kem, 21, and dancer Amber Davies, 20, split months after they wooed each other to win Love Island.
He said: “Liam has been really supportive. He was one of the first to text me. It was out of the blue.
“He was checking I was okay and gave good advice. Liam was so nice. I couldn’t believe he was going out of his way to talk to me.” But he confessed: “I fancy Cheryl but shouldn’t really say it now I’m mates with Liam. He might not invite me round if he knows.”
Cheryl, 34, had her first child – son Bear – with 24-year-old Liam last March, a year after they met.
If Kem’s not in the doghouse, former X Factor judge Cheryl might make a dream come true for him.
He said: “A fortune teller said me and Simon Cowell would be friends one day. He has this aura. I’ll offer him a free haircut.”
Kem and partner Alex Murphy’s slick moves saw them top the first Dancing on Ice leaderboard – despite his nearly giving up.
“I’d never skated before,” he said. “There was one point I thought I couldn’t do it. I was Bambi on ice.
“But I got out there on Sunday and loved it. I put a bit of charisma and swagger in my performance.”
He might not invite me round if he knows I fancy his girl Cheryl KEM CETINAY ON HIS SHOWBIZ PAL LIAM PAYNE
