LIVERPOOL midfielder Gini Wijnaldum insists Manchester City are not only the best team in the Premier League – but also the luckiest.

Wijnaldum believes Pep Guardiola’s side enjoyed a big slice of good fortune when Sadio Mane was sent off in Liverpool’s 5-0 defeat at the Etihad in September for a high challenge on Brazilian keeper Ederson.

And he also feels circumstances have once again gone their way, ahead of today’s return at Anfield, following Philippe Coutinho’s £142million departure to Barcelona. Wijnaldum said: “City have been very consistent and haven’t given any games away. But I also think they have had more luck this season.

“They have scored a lot of goals in the last minute, which has given them confidence.

“And, until the red card in Manchester, our game was very close. It was an
