PEP GUARDIOLA is backing Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to enjoy life without Philippe Coutinho. The Manchester City boss (above) believes £142million Coutinho will be a success at the Nou Camp, but explained: “I think Barcelona have signed a top player who suits perfectly the way they have wanted to play for the last 20 years. “But Liverpool now have resources and they will go to the market. Jurgen knows exactly what he needs to do for his team and they remain a top, top team. “They have already played a lot of games this season without Coutinho because of injuries and other reasons. “And they were always a good, stable team, so this is not going to change my opinion about Liverpool.” Guardiola reckons Barcelona’s outlay is money well spent. He said: “The quality of Coutinho is not in doubt.” The Manchester City boss has seen his team storm away at the top of the table, with 20 wins and two draws from their 22 games to leave all the other contenders fighting for second place.
