MY PERFECT SUNDAY

- By Carol Smillie prettycleverpants.com

I’D have a long lie-in, then a breakfast of warm croissants with Nutella, a cup of tea and reading the papers in my PJS.

Sunday is about relaxed activities like movies, walks and eating. I’d be at home – my favourite place.

Ideally the weather would be cold, crisp and with bright sunshine. But that’s a bit of a tall order when you live in Glasgow!

We have two labradors and enjoy a long walk through a park or we might drive to the beach.

Lunch would be light, then we’d have an early evening roast dinner with trimmings. And while I don’t drink much, I do like a Cinzano and soda, which seems to tickle the family. I’d spend the day with my husband Alex – my partner of 27 years. If very lucky, we might see all three of our children, who are in far-flung places. Now that I no longer work in TV I get more of a chance to relax on a Sunday.

My underwear business for bladder weakness sufferers has been licensed too, so I have more time than ever – and I love it.
