Myanmar in denial of mass graves report
MYANMAR authorities have denied the existence of five mass graves of Muslims in a village in crisis-hit Rakhine state.
The government said 19 “terrorists” had been killed and buried in the area.
Associated Press used testimony from dozens of refugees and timestamped mobile phone videos to describe a massacre by soldiers and at least five previously unreported mass graves in Gu Dar Pyin village.
The government said: “[An] inspection team systematically investigated the report on the Gu Dar Pyin village case, including interviewing villagers, and found it not to be true.”
