Star Mcavoy in mourning as mum dies
Actor James MOVIE star James Mcavoy is mourning the death of his beloved mum.
Liz Johnstone, 59, who had been battling health issues for years, died in the same council flat where the X-men actor grew up.
James, 38, whose sister Joy is an actress, remained close to Liz and often visited her on the tough Glasgow housing estate.
But he no longer speaks to dad James. His parents split when he was seven.
A source said: “Liz had health troubles and faced up to them well, but she kept herself to herself.
“She had no desire to change her life on the back of James’s fame and never held any airs and graces.”
Liz, a psychiatric nurse, was found dead in circumstances which are not regarded as suspicious. Darren Osborne
