Norrie on mission to save GB in Davis Cup
CAMERON NORRIE will need more heroics today to keep Great Britain in their Davis Cup tie against Spain.
Britain are 2-1 down after Jamie Murray and Dominic Inglot yesterday lost in straight sets to Pablo Carrenobusta and Feliciano Lopez.
Norrie (above) produced a stunning upset on Friday to defeat Roberto Bautista Agut and is first up today against Albert Ramos-vinolas.
He is followed by Liam Broady taking on Bautista Agut, although Kyle Edmund can be picked if he overcomes a hip injury.
GB captain Leon Smith said: “The Spanish guys played an awful lot better than ours.
“The court definitely favoured them but they also played well. We would have needed to make an awful lot more returns to try and make some inroads into their service games, but they were holding so quickly and we never really got any momentum.”
