Man charged with murder of ex-soldier
Warren O’connor A MAN of 34 was yesterday charged with the murder of a former soldier in Dublin eight years ago.
Gary Watson, of Millbrook Avenue, North Dublin, appeared before the city’s District Court after being extradited from the UK on Friday.
Det Garda Domhnall O’connell told the court he arrested Watson at Dublin Airport after he had been extradited on foot of a European Arrest Warrant.
He was charged with the murder of Warren O’connor on the Hole In The Wall Road in Donaghmede in January 2010.
Judge Grainne Malone remanded him in custody to appear before Cloverhill Court on Thursday when the issue of legal aid will be considered.
