Jones: Home fun’s tonic for intense roles

- BY KAREN ROCKETT

Suranne Jones SURANNE Jones says having fun and getting home in time to bath her toddler keeps her sane after intense acting work.

The Doctor Foster star, 39, will be seen in her latest tough role in Sky Atlantic thriller Save Me.

She said: “Life is about balance. When I’m not working, I like to have fun.

“It’s important to show my boy that I’m working but I want to be home for bathtime. I miss my son.”

Save Me, about a child that goes missing in South London, starts this month.

She had wanted some time off after the success of Doctor Foster and becoming a mum. But she told Weekend magazine: “My agent said, ‘You must look at this’. I thought, ‘I don’t want to work’. But then I read it.” Reg E Cathey
