Tess: I won’t discuss fat in front of kids

- BY VAZ SAYED

TESS Daly says she never mentions her weight in front of her daughters in case they start worrying about their looks.

The Strictly host – mum to Phoebe, 13, and Amber, eight – said: “If I’m feeling a bit fatter I won’t talk about it. I try to instil in them that their character is a lot more important than their appearance.”

Tess, 48, added: “I’ve a strong body. I can run all day and night and not be tired. But if I need to lose an inch or so around the waist, I’ll just try to lay off the white bread.”

Speaking of family life to Fit & Well magazine, Tess said kids needed exercise “like puppies”. “We go bike riding, walk the dogs, go for walks by the river in the Chiltern hills. We are totally active,” she said.
