Scousers v Mancs in jail gang battle

Hindley jail A GANG fight between rivals from Manchester and Liverpool erupted at dinner time in a prison.

One inmate was knocked unconsciou­s as the rival factions settled scores, a court heard.

At least 15 prisoners were charged with affray after the punch-up at Hindley jail, Lancashire.

CCTV captured the fighting on F Wing, Bolton Crown Court was told.

Even after prison officers managed to separate the rival factions, the fighting broke out again near some pool tables.

Liverpudli­an Peter Crabb, 19, serving nine years for firearms offences, got a further eight months.

Two other Liverpudli­ans were given eight months. Others will be sentenced next month. Orphans
