Dannatt plea for orphans of mudslide
SIERRA Leone’s orphans are still suffering six months after a catastrophic mudslide followed the Ebola crisis.
Former Army chief Lord Dannatt has highlighted the plight of thousands whose parents died when the disease struck the West African nation.
Over a thousand more died in horrific mudslides following torrential rain in the capital Freetown last year.
Now Lord Dannatt, whose son Tom founded the Street Child charity which works in Sierra Leone, is leading a call for donations before a February 15 deadline.
The Government has pledged to match fundraising until then.
