DJ Maya tells me she’s looking forward to her new Radio 1 gig Professor Emily The irrepressi­ble Maya Jama took to the decks at the swanky London bash, having just flown in from the Super Bowl in the US. And the 23-year-old DJ tells me she can’t wait to start her new job at BBC Radio 1. Maya, the better half of grime king Stormzy, says: “I’m really excited, I’m their youngest DJ as well. I’ll be doing it on Friday and Saturdays.” When I asked if she will be paid the same as her male colleagues, she adds: “I’m sure I will be.” The party was to celebrate the 2018 EE British Academy Film Awards, which take place in London next week. Professor Green, 34, who was there with girlfriend Fae Williams, refused to talk about any of his upcoming plans. I bet he’s gutted he won’t be getting an invite to the royal wedding as his ex, Millie Mackintosh, is best pals with Meghan Markle. Meanwhile, TV presenter Rochelle Humes, 28, was glued to the dance floor as she enjoyed a night off from mum duties. She says: “Things are amazing but it is always just a juggle.
