NOT SO TRICKY FOR WICKY

- By SIMON MULLOCK

BASEL coach Raphael Wicky is careful what he wishes for when assessing what it must be like to be Pep Guardiola.

The Swiss champions face Guardiola’s Manchester City in the Champions League this week but, while Basel’s £100million annual turnover is just a fifth of the money generated at the Etihad, Wicky (left) insists that Guardiola has a harder job.

He said: “As Man City coach, if you need a fast, tall striker who can dribble then you go and get him — we could only afford a fast, tall striker who can’t dribble.

“But I don’t think it’s easier for Pep. He has to deal with much bigger egos. I can be more focused just on the football.“
