He’s left a legacy of many happy memories

- BY DAVID COLEMAN Ireland fan who follows them everywhere

THE story of Liam Miller’s death is heartbreaking. He was a supremely talented footballer who represented club and country with pride. Liam was a man

who lived the dream of many young Irishmen growing up. To star for Ireland, Celtic and Manchester United is the stuff most lads can only dream of.

But his life was cut horrifically short by pancreatic cancer. It is a horrible disease that knows no boundaries. And while life will never be the same for Liam’s wife and three kids, hopefully they can be comforted by the touching tributes pouring in for the Cork man.

He was loved and respected by his playing colleagues. And fans admired his talent and dogged determination.

Hopefully the moments of magic he gave fans throughout the years – such as his goal against Sweden – will bring joy to those closest to him. Rest easy Liam.
