Former Justice Minister Nora on heartbreak of caring for her husband of 50yrs Bedside guard for murdered Joanne’s hubby

- BY NIALL O’CONNOR

DOCTORS have advised officers they must wait a week or more to talk to a suspect in the horror murder of Joanne Lee.

Gardai have maintained a bedside guard as they await clearance from medics to interview Keith Lee, the victim’s estranged husband.

The chef has undergone surgery for his injuries after leaping from a third-floor window as detectives from Mountjoy arrived at the South Dublin apartment on Thursday.

Investigators are interviewing anyone with a knowledge of the couple, as well as trawling CCTV footage and examining phones found in the property.

A source said: “One critical thing to establish is the question of when Joanne arrived in the apartment and was she alive when she did?”

The 38-year-old’s body was found wrapped in a sleeping bag in a wardrobe at a house in Ranelagh. A postmortem revealed she had been strangled.

Gardai have searched two additional houses connected to Joanne and the suspect. Joanne & Lee
