20 witness cremation of a murderer

- BY WILLIAM DUNNE

BLACK Widow Catherine Nevin was cremated on Friday at a private ceremony.

The killer’s funeral was attended by around 20 people at Newlands Cross cemetery, West Dublin.

Nevin, who was granted release from prison in September due to her brain cancer battle, died on Monday in a hospice near the Mater Hospital in the North of the city.

Close relations, friends and former prison pals attended Friday’s service.

Nevin previously stated her wish to be buried beside her husband at a plot she owned in Barndarrig, Co Wicklow.

However, those closest to her decided to have a low-key service instead for one of Ireland’s most highprofile killers.
