2 in court on ‘hit-run’ car death boys

- BY TOM TRACEY

A MAN and a woman appeared in court yesterday charged with the “hit-and-run” deaths of two young brothers.

Corey and Casper Plattmay – aged six and two – were struck as they crossed a road with their mum in Coventry on Thursday afternoon.

Robert Brown, 53, and Gwendoline Harrison, 41, are accused of causing death by dangerous driving. Brown is also charged with driving while disqualified and without a licence or insurance.

During their court appearance, Brown twice shouted, “this is a f***ing kangaroo court” and called the judge a “f***ing prick”.

He and Harrison, who also faces a common assault charge, were remanded in custody by Coventry magistrates.
