21 aid staff in sex scandals

THE International Committee of the Red Cross revealed 21 staff left jobs over sexual misconduct in the past three years.

Director Yves Daccord said the individuals had paid for “sexual services” and resigned or were dismissed from the agency.

The revelations come as the aid sector has been hit by numerous allegations of exploitation by workers.

Its code of conduct has forbidden the purchase of sexual services since 2006.
