Dad in Thai jail over ‘bid to grab son’
Jodie & young Joleon A BRITISH dad is in a Thai jail after trying to bring home his love-tug son.
Jodie Smith, 41, was held at Bangkok airport as he waited to catch a flight with Joleon, nine.
The dad had travelled to a remote village in Sakon Nakhon Province where Joleon was with Thai-born mum Jintra, 31 – Jodie’s ex.
Sean Felton, of British charity Abducted Angels, was also detained. It is understood both men are accused of trespass, while Jodie, from Edinburgh, also faces abduction charges.
Jodie’s family claim Jintra “snatched” Joleon last November. His mum Lidia, 67, said: “I just want my son and grandson back.”
