- BY ROBERT HYNES

THE FAI is investigating a claim under-13 Irish soccer players viewed pornography while at the home of former Crewe Alexandra manager Dario Gradi.

An ex-crewe employee alleges a senior official at the club asked him to wipe porn from Gradi’s computer in 2001 at a time when a group of Irish youth footballers had been staying at his home.

In response to an inquiry by the Irish Sunday Mirror, the FAI confirmed they are investigating the allegation. It said in a statement: Kieron Durkan Mickey Thomas “The Football Association of Ireland have been made aware of a situation involving an Irish schoolboy club and are investigating the matter.

“Should anyone require support or advice in connection to this incident they can contact the FAI

Kieron Durkan goes past Man Utd’s Paul Scholes in 1995 Child Welfare Department.”

Gradi, 76, who denies wrongdoing, was suspended as Crewe’s director of football by the FA in late 2016 pending an investigation.

Crewe Alexandra have declined to comment on the allegation. Dario Gradi
