TV’S Dermot is floored by budget row
Dermot Bannon POPULAR architect Dermot Bannon nearly lost his cool with a feisty client on RTE’S Room To Improve.
The broadcaster was stunned when IT manager Christine gave him a wish list stretching 25 pages.
And he was supposed to do all the work within her budget of €130,000.
He said: “It’s more like an autobiography than a concise brief.”
But Christine, who bought the house for €435,000, refuses to let him drop luxury features.
Her plans are bigger than her budget, and when Dermot tries to scale down she snaps: “Who’s making the decisions? I’m paying for everything.”
