Helicopter crash mum & dad sue

- BY KAREN ROCKETT

THE parents of one of five Britons killed in a Grand Canyon helicopter crash are suing the tour operator.

Philip and Marlene Udall claim son Jonathan, 31, would not have suffered “catastrophic” burns if the aircraft had a crashresistant fuel system.

Their lawsuit for more than £141,000 comes after it was announced Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters will now fit the systems.

Lawyer Gary Robb said: “If this helicopter had been properly equipped... it

Victim Jonathan would have allowed this young man to walk away.”

Jonathan, of Brighton, and wife Ellie, who were on honeymoon, died in hospital after the crash last month. Pals Becky Dobson and brothers Stuart and Jason Hill were also killed.
