If we beat Wenger, it will be Fab
HIS move back to Serie A was mocked after a nightmare relegation campaign with Sunderland – but Fabio Borini is now ready to ambush Arsenal’s Europa Cup ambitions.
The 26-year-old striker has been reborn with AC Milan, especially under former Rangers midfield star Gennaro Gattuso, who succeeded the sacked Vincenzo Montella as head coach in November.
Borini said: “I do everything to make it difficult for the coach to leave me out.
“We are moving in the right direction. We’ve proved we’re on the same level as the other sides fighting it out for a place in the Champions League.
“Milan are accustomed to European fixtures and they don’t come much bigger than playing Arsenal.”
And Gattuso was quick to heap praise on Borini, saying: “He always gives everything. It’s something he learned in England.
“He’s very intense and has a great desire. He makes himself available for all roles.”
