Ex-wife Michelle THE ex-wife of a property tycoon hopes a new probe will prove he was murdered by “Mcmafia” hitmen. Michelle Young, 53, believes Scot, 52, was thrown from his London flat onto railings after a row over money with the kind of Moscow mobsters depicted in the recent BBC TV drama. Met Police said his death in December 2014 was not suspicious. A coroner recorded an open verdict. But now detectives will reinvestigate his and 13 other deaths, following the Salisbury poisionings.
Mrs Young hopes the probe will also help trace her ex’s €1billion fortune she believes is hidden in offshore accounts.
“The re-investigation into the deaths could be a breakthrough,” she said.
“My hope is that the British Government and police do their jobs.”
After the break-up with his wife, Mr Young had also split with socialite Noelle Reno, 32, before his death. He was in a circle known as the Cipriani Five, named after a London restaurant, whose deaths will be reinvestigated.
One was Boris Berezovsky, a former friend of President Putin’s, who was found hanged in his bathroom.
Property tycoons Robbie Curtis and Paul Castle jumped in front of trains.
