GET RICH WITH POORMANS

-

THE red-hot Gordon Elliott could be the man to follow once again, with his Poormans Hill taken to land this afternoon’s Ulster National.

This progressive sevenyear-old has done especially well for Elliott this season, winning six of his 10 starts.

His winning sequence did come to an end in the Leinster National earlier this month when he had to settle for sixth.

However, he still wasn’t disgraced in finishing sixth and this looks an easier assignment for the dual course winner.

Elliott could also land the following handicap chase with Bold Sky, who has first time cheek pieces to aid her cause.

She was well held at Leopardstown last time, but her previous second to Samson Bill at Thurles gives her a good chance.

In the bumper, Elliott’s point-to-point winner Global Jackpot is put forward, while in the opening maiden hurdle it is hard to look past the chances of Willie Mullins’ Caro Des Flos.

His second to Last Man Standing at Thurles early last month is by far the best piece of recent form on offer.

The rated hurdle looks a tricky affair, but Brave Out could be the answer as he looks to follow up last weekend’s Wexford win.

A Place Apart didn’t match his previous efforts when he was beaten at Wexford last time, but he can improve for that run.
