Geoff needs our support
IN 2001, when Liverpool won the first leg of our Treble by beating Birmingham in the Worthington Cup final, yours truly was man of the match.
After the penalty shoot-out, I swapped shirts with Geoff Horsfield, who went on to play for what seemed about 30 years. Anyway, he has been in touch to say he’s auctioned that shirt for a homeless charity that he’s heavily involved with – a brilliant cause that deserves support from us all.
