Oldman sickened by Weinstein meet
OSCAR winner Gary Oldman refused to work with Harvey Weinstein because he was so creepy, it has emerged. The star’s best pal Douglas Urbanski, producer of his hit Winston Churchill movie Darkest Hour, told how they both met the mogul in 1993. But they were left repulsed after he greeted them in a bathrobe. Douglas, 61, recalled: “We were given the creeps. This disgusting guy, we went into his suite for breakfast, he smoked cigarettes and drank coffee and Coca-cola throughout. I remember he put ashes in his coffee cup then drank from it. “We left and Gary and I looked at each other and said, ‘Can we agree on one thing? Let’s never talk to this man again’. “We just didn’t like him. He was promising us money but we never did business with him. “We never had a call or meeting with him ever again.” Over 80 women including Rose Mcgowan and Gwyneth Paltrow have accused Weinstein of being a sexual predator. Many alleged victims told how he greeted them in a bathrobe in a hotel room. Douglas added: “That robe should be made illegal.” halina.watts@trinitymirror.co.uk
