Killer Linda Mulhall leaves for new life in the UK after prison release
SCISSOR Sister Linda Mulhall has fled Ireland after her release from prison, the Irish Sunday Mirror can reveal.
The 42-year-old is believed to be living in the UK and has no plans to come home.
Linda tried to get an English phone number to sister Charlotte, who is locked up at Dublin’s Dochas Centre.
The pair were dubbed the Scissor Sisters after their gruesome killing of immigrant Farah Swaleh Noor in March 2005.
SCISSOR Sister Linda Mulhall is living in the UK following her release from prison and has no plans to return to Ireland.
It’s believed the 42-year-old recently had an English phone number passed on to her sister Charlotte, who is locked up at Dublin’s Dochas Centre, asking her to get in contact.
It’s understood she wants to stay in England so she can keep a low profile, allowing her to start a new chapter in her life and leave her criminal past behind.
The mother of four has not been seen since her release from jail on January 2.
A source told the Irish Sunday Mirror : “It’s believed Linda tried to get a number to Charlotte recently in prison to contact her on.
“It was an English number which suggests she’s over in the UK.
“There was speculation when she was first released that she would not stay in Ireland as she was too recognisable and would get hassled by the public.
“By all accounts she was a model prisoner when she was in jail and just wants to start over and get on with her life.
“It’s understood she was madly in love with a former prison officer who she really fell for but that didn’t last so she had no reason to stay in Ireland. “Linda was very close to Charlotte while locked up so people found it strange she hadn’t been to visit her.
“However, Linda giving her a contact number is a clear indication she wants to get in touch and find out how her sister is.”
The sisters ran the prison hair and beauty salon which fellow inmates had named Head And Shoulders, a sick reference to the way in which the two women had dismembered victim Farah Swaleh Noor’s body.
A source said Linda was extremely talented when it came to doing fellow inmates’ make-up.
They added: “She was great at doing make-up and hair and would easily find a job in the industry in the UK. When she was locked up fellow inmates used to ask her to do them up when they had a court hearing so they would look good for the occasion.”
Linda and Charlotte were dubbed the Scissor Sisters after they killed and dismembered Kenyan immigrant Noor in March 2005.
At their trial Justice Paul Carney said it was “the most grotesque killing that has occurred in my professional lifetime”.
