OAP is fined for dropping pie crumbs
Peter, 75 HUNGRY Peter Vipham was fined €70 after accidentally dropping a few crumbs from the pork pie he was eating.
Peter, 75, was tucking into the M&S mini snack when a small piece of pastry fell to the ground and he flicked another piece off his coat.
He was confronted by two women council enforcement officers who said they had videoed him “dropping litter” in the centre of Manchester.
Ex-shoemaker Peter, of Rawtenstall, Lancs, who is refusing to pay the fine, said: “It was incredible.
“Less than 200 yards away there were people feeding pigeons.
“I am being treated like a criminal over crumbs.”
Council bosses say they will review the video.
