Don’t let my killer dad, 75 ever go free
Mum Carole THE daughter of wifekiller Russell Causley has told how she fears her father could kill her too if he wins parole this week.
Samantha Gillingham was 16 when her mum Carole Packman went missing in 1985.
Her father was jailed for life in 1996 for murdering Carole, even though her body was never found.
He was convicted again in 2004 after the Appeal Court ordered a retrial.
But as he makes his fifth bid for release, Samantha, 49, will once more beg parole bosses at HMP Littlehey in Cambridgeshire not to free her father, who is now 75.
RISK
She said: “I don’t believe he’s safe to be released – he is as much a risk now as he was in 1985. I fear for my own safety.”
Construction manager Samantha, from Northamptonshire, backs Helen’s Law, the campaign to stop parole for convicted killers until they reveal where victims are buried.
Carole disappeared from the family home in Westbourne, Dorset, after looking into a divorce.
Causley has previously claimed he burned her body, then later said he buried her – only to retract both statements and claim his innocence.
Samantha’s son Neil, 28, said: “If he got out he’d come after us. He may be 75, but he’s venomous.”
