A REAL SHAME

I WAS disappointed when Liverpool drew Roma in the semifinal of the Champions League – I wanted to get Real Madrid.

I think Madrid are beatable over two legs (as Juve almost showed) and Anfield could be a real weapon in defeating them.

I could argue that if Liverpool are going to win the competition, then it would be better to meet Real Madrid in the semi.

But the main reason I wanted Real was my son Jacob likes watching them – and I would dearly have loved to take him to the Bernabeu. Never mind, son, there’s always next year.
