North Korea: Nukes deal is turning point
NORTH Korea yesterday hailed the historic summit with South Korea as a turning point for the divided peninsula.
Dictator Kim Jong-un and South Korea’s leader Moon Jae-in have vowed to work towards “complete denuclearisation”.
Yesterday, North Korea broadcast its first footage of Friday’s summit. But it rarely mentioned the denuclearisation discussion, instead highlighting themes of peace, prosperity and Korean unity.
US President Donald Trump has pledged to keep sanctions pressure on Kim and says “the US won’t be played like a fiddle.”
Yesterday he tweeted: “Just had a long and very good talk with President Moon of South Korea. Things are going very well.”
