How Versace blonded with his sister, 11
THE sister of murdered fashion king Gianni Versace has revealed he dyed her hair when she was 11 because “blondes have more fun.”
Donatella Versace, 62, who took over her brother’s design empire after he was shot dead in Florida 21 years ago, said: “Blondes really do have more fun. Gianni knew this.
“Which is why he bleached me blonde when I was only 11. I’ve never looked back.”
But Donatella admitted that life as a rebel growing up in southern Italy would have been easier if she had followed the rules.
Speaking about the impact of Gianni’s death aged 50 at the hands of a serial killer, she said: “You can turn anything negative in life into fuel to achieve.”
