own a Corgi Avengers Gift Set. It is in nearly new condition and is number GS40. It features both Steed’s Bentley and Emma’s Lotus. Could you please value? Michael Allen, Swindon The Avengers was the cult hit TV series of the 1960s. It was so popular that a stage play was made and it was brought back again in 1976 as The New Avengers. The big screen version of 1998 starred Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman. The original merchandise was quite thin on the ground at the time, making rare pieces valuable today. Your gift set should include three umbrellas as well as the plastic figures. This was quite an expensive toy at the time (in 1967 it sold for 16s 11d, about €1), therefore making it rarer still. A good example with good box will make anywhere from €250-€350. Mint condition ones will be more like €500 at auction.
