In Space reboot which falls flat and fails to recapture any of the charm of the 1960s sci-fi original. On the other hand there are some little gems to be discovered and these are often the shows Netflix spends least time promoting. French thriller La Mante sees a serial killer offer to help solve a string of copycat murders decades after her capture – but only if her son, now a cop, works with her.

Slick Spanish drama Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) follows a professor who hires a gang to rob the Royal Mint of Spain and gives them all the names of cities. Mindhunter sees two FBI agents in the 1970s expand criminal science by delving into the psychology of murder and getting uneasily close to reallife monsters.
