Tours helped Cave grieve for tragic son

NICK Cave has revealed connecting with audiences on tour helped him cope with the death of his son.

The Bad Seeds frontman’s son Arthur, 15, fell off a cliff near the family’s home in Brighton in 2015 and died from his injuries.

Nick admitted he wasn’t sure if he would survive the loss at first and the effect of the tragedy was explored in 2016 film One More Time With Feeling.

Speaking at a Q&A with fans in New York. the Australian, 60, said: “Talking to the audience has actually been extraordin­ary healing for me.

“It was very apparent to us that we were very much connected together as people by suffering and grief. There was just so many people grieving.”
