SLIGO JOY FOR MULLINS?

-

THE champion trainer Willie Mullins looks the man to follow as he sends a strong team to Sligo for their first fixture of 2018.

In the opener, Mullins (right) relies on Salsaretta who takes a major drop in class having contested a race at Cheltenham and a Fairyhouse Grade 1 on her last two starts.

She fell at Cheltenham and then didn’t run badly when fifth to Laurina over Easter. If she turns up in anything like the same form she will win.

Msassa should take plenty of beating in the fouryear-old winners’ hurdle having finished fourth to Saldier in a Punchestown Grade 1 last week.

On his penultimate outing, the Mullins inmate finished a long way in front of his chief threat today, Percy. The treble should be completed by Roll Again, who takes his chance in the bumper. Uisce Beatha could follow up in the novice hurdle, while The Last Indian could be the one to side with in the first of the handicaps.
