CHECK it out – winter patterns have had a spring make-over and they are a contender for this year’s It print. A huge hit on the runways, there were pretty folksy ginghams at Loewe, red and blue plaids at Alexander Mcqueen, bold shopper-bag checks at Mary Katrantzou and a whole show of them at Marni and Fendi, the latter complete with checked tights.
Victoria Beckham showcased multi-piece sets in detailed nude and tan check, while Miu Miu impressed critics with the printed checks. The fresh take on the trend has trickled down to the high street where rails are packed with checks, plaids and gingham for summer.
