CORRIE star Michael Le Vell split with his lover yesterday – then headed to the pub.
The actor loaded the boot of his black Mercedes outside the home he shared with Louise Gibbons just a week after he was arrested over a domestic incident.
Le Vell, 53, who has stayed for the last few days in a £70-a-night Holiday Inn, collected his belongings while his fiancée Louise was away.
The star who plays mechanic Kevin Webster made several trips to a house nearby in Timperley, Cheshire.
Hours later he joined friends in a local pub.
It is believed Le Vell may have found another property several miles down the road.
Le Vell, who has been in Coronation Street for 35 years, has endured a difficult time in recent years.
He was cleared of child sex abuse allegations, has battled alcoholism and been declared bankrupt.
He popped the question to Louise, whom he met four years ago, after he said she helped him turn his life around. A source said: “Clearly things are not good at the moment.
“He has been to-ing and fro-ing all week and he has turned up at this other place with bags.
Last week it emerged that the star fell down the stairs following an argument with someone else in Louise’s house.
He was taken to hospital by police and later arrested although no further action was taken.
Police said they treated it as a domestic incident and were not taking any further action.
Le Vell described it as a “silly row” that got out of hand.
After his latest arrest it was claimed he was on “very thin ice” after he missed a day of filming and could be facing the sack from his £250,000-ayear job. But a Corrie source played down the story.
In March it emerged the actor had been declared bankrupt owing a sixfigure legal bill.
