Psychic held after ‘€600k coins fraud’

A US spiritualist has been arrested after allegedly conning a woman out of €619,000.

Ann Thompson, 42, is said to have taken money from vulnerable people over five years while operating as Psychic Zoe in New York.

Thompson, who advertised readings for $4, told customers they needed to provide more funds for a “spiritual protection plan” to ensure family members would be safe.

She is accused of taking more than €619,000 from a Canadian woman for coins that would “cure her aura”.

Her bail was set at €42,000.
