Guess Who is back after big health scare?
THE Who frontman Roger Daltrey is about to release a new album after his brush with death.
The 74-year-old’s ninth solo offering As Long As I Have You follows his recovery from viral meningitis which struck in 2015.
The vocalist said: “I’ve always sung from the heart, but when you’re 19 you don’t have the life experience and all the emotional trauma that goes with it. When I sing these songs now those traumas are part of it.”
In 2015 Daltrey was hit by a “small dose of meningitis” which was so serious the singer said farewell to family and friends from his hospital bed.
He added: “I thought I was going to die. Obviously I didn’t, but the illness had a big effect on me.”
