JOSH: I HAVE THE WISDOM

-

JOSH WARRINGTON has got all the qualifications to rearrange Lee Selby’s teeth in Leeds on Saturday, when he challenges for Selby’s IBF featherweight title at Elland Road.

Warrington (above) said: “I was still a qualified dental technician when I was European champion.

“It’s unheard of. The delivery guys were coming into work saying, ‘I saw you on telly’, and I was still working three days a week, nine to five.

“I was making gum shields, crowns, veneers, all that kind of stuff.

“I got a degree in it, but hopefully I will make enough money from boxing so I don’t need to go back.”

Leeds lad Warrington, 27, is planning a proper welcome for Selby, with former Leeds United star Lucas Radebe leading him to the ring while the Kaiser Chiefs belt out ‘I Predict A Riot’ live inside the stadium.

Warrington added: “This is definitely the most hostile crowd he has been in front of.”

But Selby, 31, said: “I’ve travelled to America to defend my title, I’ve fought whoever was brave enough to fight me, so going to Leeds won’t bother me.”
