‘CARRICK CAN BE GAFFER ONE DAY’
ANDER HERRERA believes that Michael Carrick is a manager-in-waiting.
Carrick, 36, will hang up his boots after taking the captain’s armband for one last time, against Watford today.
The ex-england midfielder will then head into the dug-out as part of Jose Mourinho’s coaching team. Team-mate Herrera said: “Michael’s the right person to be an assistant as he’s very calm and balanced.
“Those qualities can make him a good manager in the future. As a player he doesn’t speak that much, but he does it in a serious and right way.
“He never gets crazy happy and in the bad moments he keeps his head and tries to give the right advice to the team.”
