- BY STEVE BATES AND ALAN SELBY

ENGLAND’S World Cup squad are already sharp shooters – at least on the computer game Fortnite.

They are bonding by teaming up to play the popular survival game, which has 40 million fans around the globe.

It features a world where a freak storm has wiped out 98 per cent of the Earth’s population, leaving the rest to take on a zombie outbreak. And although Fortnite relaxes and unifies manager Gareth Southgate’s men there is already a competitive edge.

Dele Alli, 22, who played in yesterday’s 2-1 win over Nigeria, boasted he is top of the Three Lions’ ranking. The Spurs midfielder, who copied one of the character’s moves to celebrate a FA Cup semifinal goal, said: “I think that it’s a great way to relax and rest your body playing

TRIGGER HAPPY Dele Alli Playstation. I’d say I am the best Fortnite player. I’ve won over 100 games. But a lot of the boys have just started playing it. “We play in teams so it definitely brings us together.” Southgate has encouraged players to bond to create a unity missing from some previous squads. Alli added: “Everyone gets on well. We do a lot of things as a team.” alan.selby@trinitymirror.com
