First flight in Hong Kong route lands
THE first ever direct flight from Hong Kong to Ireland touched down yesterday.
Passengers onboard the Cathay Pacific plane arrived into Dublin at 6.45am.
The new service will operate four times a week and will arrive into Hong Kong early in the morning.
Dublin Airport will have flights to 195 destinations in 42 countries, operated by 56 airlines this summer.
The airport tweeted: “We’re delighted to welcome the passengers & crew on the first ever direct flight from Hong Kong to Ireland with Cathay Pacific.”
